Not only do people from Pegram enjoy this park that is located in the heart of Pegram, but other residents throughout the greater Nashville area enjoy the splendor of the outdoors in Pegram.
Thousands of residents in Cheatham County and the other counties within the Nashville, Tennessee area flock to Pegram each year to enjoy the annual fish fry and Independence Day celebration. The Pegram Community Club cooks nearly 1,000 pounds of Tennessee River catfish each year at the annual fish fry, while the Independence Day celebration features a parade, games, food, music and fireworks. The Friends of Pegram Park is a nonprofit organization that works to better the park for the community. They have earned thousands of dollars to make the park what it is today.
The mayor of Pegram is Gene Hannah. He and a four-member board oversee the city. Pegram has its own fire department. If the small town life is what you seek then Pegram may just be the right town for you.
